AI Governance & Leadership

Heads of AI, responsible-AI and AI-risk leaders — the roles a regulated market now requires and almost nobody can find.

A$180k – A$400k package

Australia’s regulatory calendar has made this a category: APRA’s April 2026 letter demanded a step-change in AI risk management from every regulated entity, and Australian AI standards legislation is flagged for 2027. Boards now ask who owns AI risk — and the market for people who can genuinely answer is extraordinarily thin.

These searches are as much definition as discovery: what the role owns, where it sits, and what evidence of capability looks like when the discipline itself is five years old. We run them retained, with a market map as the first deliverable, so you see the true shape of the talent pool before committing to a profile.

We hold ourselves to the standard we recruit for: our own AI-assisted process is disclosed, consented, human-decided and audit-logged — published in full in our AI transparency statement.

Roles we run
  • Head of AI / Director of AI
  • AI Governance & AI Risk leads
  • Responsible AI specialists
  • AI Policy & Assurance (regulated industries)

Where this hiring goes wrong

Governance ≠ compliance paperwork

The strong candidates connect model behaviour to enterprise risk — they can read an eval report and a board paper with equal fluency. Pure policy backgrounds without technical literacy consistently underperform in these seats.
